Wellbeing Workshops and Courses


In the Courses and Workshops mentioned on this page, you will receive some practical tools to develop yourself. They are not meant to be group therapy sessions even though I encourage you to share your experiences of the exercises with (members of) the group. There is a minimum of four and a maximum of ten participants in each group.

All onsite Wellbeing Workshops and Courses take place at the Haelan Clinic in Crouch End, North London, N8 8DT, United Kingdom.

Wellbeing Workshops
Manage Stress and Anxiety


Mindfulness and Mindful Movements, an introduction to Mindfulness and Tai Chi/Qigong


According to research Mindfulness exercises and Tai Chi and Qigong Mindful Movements help manage or reduce symptoms caused by stress, and anxiety. Read more about the benefits here.

The aim of the taster sessions is to give you some tools to become aware what is going on for you and how to breathe, balance, calm, de-stress, energise, and focus.

You can join one or more of the one-hour Mindfulness and Mindful Movement sessions.

In the workshop you practise body and mind awareness focusing on:
  • how to connect with your mind with a Mindfulness exercise
  • how to breathe properly
  • how to correct your posture to breathe properly
  • how to connect with your body with one or two Mindful Movement exercises. 
You will receive resources after the session by email so you can continue practising these activities.

After this Wellbeing Workshop, you can register for one-day Golden Spine 9 Qigong courses to keep practising Mindfulness and Mindful Movements, and/or you can subscribe to receive weekly Mindfulness Meditation exercises by email.

Personal Self-Development Courses

Self-Awareness


The course aims to help you become aware of yourself, better understand who you are, your responses, your relationships, and the impact of your environment on you.

The course consists of three workshops of 1.5-hour each or two workshops of 2 hours and 15 minutes.
You will be given exercises to become more aware of your body, and your mind by practising body and mind awareness activities.
You will practise exercises to help explore who you are, what events in the past have impacted you and your relationships.
The course is based on theories known in psychology and counselling.

After the course, you can choose to have one-to-one counselling/psychotherapy sessions, further explore body and mind awareness and connection with Qigong or you can explore your spiritual self in one or more session(s).
